Today is my sister's 20th birthday. I cant believe that next year I will have a child and be in Vegas celebrating her 21st birthday. Time is just flying by.
I am 17 1/2 weeks along now. I am really starting to show and so far my tattoo is in tact. I have been feeling much better and have more energy every day. I am starting to nest. I cant stand messy rooms and I just want everything cleaned and perfectly organized. That probably doesn't sound too far off from my regular personality but its definitely on my mind more.
Saturday will be the last day of my fourth month. The baby is about the size of your palm (5 inches) and weighs 5 or more ounces.I have been able to feel the baby a few times during the day. It just feels like little flutters in your stomach. It is really exciting and I already am longing to hold the baby in my arms. I get sad if I cant feel it for a while and try to eat something to make it move again. We wont be able to see the baby again till March and I miss it so much already. The baby is also practicing sucking and swallowing to prepare for feeding time. We have an appointment on Monday where we will do the last blood work up for downs syndrome and check the baby's heart beat. We have been told that a slower heart beat means its a boy and a fast heart beat means it is a girl. I am thinking that it is a girl. The baby's name if it is a boy will be David Patrick Tucker and if its a girl will be Layla Alise Tucker. O f course we want a healthy baby first but I am pretty sure we will be told its a "GIRL" at our next ultrasound.
This weekend is packed once again. We were able to get the seed down last weekend so there is just a little bit of clean up to do in the back yard. In the front yard the planters need to be cleaned out and the house is getting some paint touch ups. Beside our house work Chris has gun club for most of the day on Saturday and then it is super bowl Sunday. I think we are having a small group of people over to watch the game.
Countdown to baby Tucker
She is here!
