Its Friday! This should be a fun weekend. We will once again not have any rain and will be able to keep working on the backyard. Tonight we are going to drop Mali off at my mom's "Grandmas" so she can play with "Uncle" Duke. Chris and I are going to the Americana for some maternity shopping and dinner. I am running out of clothes at a very fast rate. We are also celebrating accomplishing another financial goal this year. After I got out of culinary school our money was not stable and I wasn't able to pay off the Honey
moon. That always seems to just escalate when you aren't bringing in what you used to. Luckily in October of last year I was able to go back to my job in a different p
osition and start over again. I was making good progress but then when we decided to get pregnant we thought we should put some money away first. We also had to get a new car, one because the bug just died on us and two the bug was not big enough for a child. I hadn't had a car payment for over a year and that was a large expense to take on. So after shifting our financial goals we got the amount of money we feel is secure enough at this time in savings and then with the help of selling the bug I was able to pay off my credit card today! Now we have one more goal to accomplish before I go on maternity leave and I don't think its going to be a problem. I hope our child will listen to our financial mistakes and be better with money. Its not easy to dig your self out of a hole its just better not to get in one in the first place. Chris and I are lucky that we have stable jobs that allow us to work out our financial shortcomings. I think we have learned a lot over the past years and will never have to pay off a credit card again.
